Protect Your Database
Good Morning,
What a key time to keep in touch with our database!
You’ve probably heard in the news about Rocket buying Redfin and Rocket buying Mr. Cooper. What's going on?
They're trying to control the process end-to-end.
Here’s where I think a lot of realtors and loan officers are going to miss the boat:
There's no doubt in my mind that with Rocket buying a $10 billion company in Mr. Cooper, they're going to be eventually calling and cross-marketing their entire database of homeowners, and they're going to do whatever they can to convince those people to use their own agent.
There's never been a time as much as right now where a realtor and a loan officer have to protect their database.
Here’s what I’m saying to my database:
Number one, there's lots of talks about these tariffs. I think they're going to drive mortgage rates down sometime in the near future. So I'm watching the market and looking out for opportunities to save you money.
I know you’re also getting a lot of calls from the servicing company and a lot of other mortgage companies that are trying to convince you to refinance when it's not in your best interest. I only want your best interest. I don’t sell people on trying to refinance, I help you understand the numbers and determine if it’s right for you.
So what I say is please, if you get those calls, call me before you make any decision and I will work with you, alongside you to make a determination if a refinance makes sense.
What I would say to my database if I was a realtor:
"I know there’s a lot in the media about rates and housing lately. There’s 1 or 2 things I’m educating my homeowners on that I think you should be aware of. Call me."
You’re probably getting a lot of calls and spam and junk mail from mortgage companies. If you would like, let me connect you with my mortgage guy, who I trust. He monitors the market and watches out for people. He’s not salesy. You can get yourself on his free rate monitoring service here: https://yumalender.com/refi1
