My kids have just taken up an interest in riding bikes. James, my 6 year old, was the first one to take off the training wheels. Within just a couple of weeks, the 2 older kids jumped in and learned as well. We bought a bike trailer for the babies, and now as soon as I get home from work every day, the kids are jumping around, ready to go for a bike ride.
Watching the kids grow up has gotten me thinking about how life just keeps moving forward. August will be Kimmy and my 12 year wedding anniversary. We’ve been in Yuma now for 6 years, and it has been over 2 years since we bought our house. We’ve brought 2 new babies home to this house. We’re now a family of 8 (6 kids).
I’ve seen the housing market in Yuma slide from an average sales price of $215,000 in July of 2007 to $108,000 in February of 2012. Now it’s back up to about $130,000, and it is turning into a seller’s market.
The lesson I have learned over the last few years is that there is no stopping the hands of time. We just have to deal with life the best we can and keep moving forward. I am recommitting myself to appreciating what I have, and enjoying life as it comes.
Have a great day. If I can do anything for you, don’t hesitate to call.
